Hello

I’m Erica, the owner and founder of The Cub Club!

I’m a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist with 15+ years of experience.  I received my bachelor’s degree in Child Studies from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University, and my master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Gallaudet University.  I have worked in a variety of settings, including school, in-home early-intervention and clinical. I love providing speech and language therapy in your child’s natural environment - whether home, school, daycare, or in the community-  so that your child can feel comfortable, and their goals can be carried over into their every-day routines.  I am certified by the Hanen Program for Parents, and love coaching parents to feel empowered to help their children.  I have expertise in the areas of receptive and expressive language, hearing loss, articulation and speech sound production, social-pragmatic skills, sensory feeding delays, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

I have two wonderful children.  My own kids have needed the support of a variety of therapies in different seasons (speech, language, feeding, occupational, and physical), which has given me a unique and compassionate perspective as I work with parents and children as a speech-language pathologist.

I’m passionate about play-based therapy, so that your child can work toward his or her goals, while having fun!

In my free time I love walking at Shelby Bottoms, making matcha lattes, trying new recipes and restaurants, cooking for my family and friends, and being involved with my church community.

I can’t wait to meet you and your child!

Our language-focused play groups are for children of all abilities (children with language delays as well as typically- developing peers).  All children will benefit from language and social skills that will be targeted through play, movement, story-time, music etc. Led by a licensed and certified speech language pathologist.  If your child has a language delay, we are happy to incorporate his or her individual goals into our sessions!  Please reach out!

Feeding Play Group

Our feeding play group is for children of all abilities to help build a positive relationship with food through playful and social experiences.  Children with feeding delays, as well as children with adventurous palates are all welcome!  We will be exploring food in a play-based group setting, influenced by the sequential-oral-sensory (SOS) feeding method.  Your child will have fun with food in a non-pressured environment!  Led by a licensed and certified speech language pathologist.
